Rahmat Umuhoza

Rahmat Umuhoza is a feminist and a seasoned communications professional with over a decade of experience in media, storytelling, and strategic communications for social change. Currently serving as the Communications Officer at the Rwanda Men’s Resource Centre (RWAMREC), she brings a deep commitment to gender equality and amplifying underrepresented voices.

Rahmat has worked with leading organizations such as Girl Effect Rwanda, Ni Nyampinga, Paper Crown Rwanda, and Nature Rwanda, where she led content teams, produced impactful multimedia campaigns, and developed strategies to engage youth and communities on gender and development issues. Her background includes roles as a radio presenter, freelance journalist, and senior content producer—combining creative storytelling with advocacy to drive meaningful change.

Skilled in content strategy, media relations, and cross-platform communications, Rahmat continues to use her voice and platform to challenge harmful norms and promote positive narratives in Rwanda and beyond.
