Edissa Ineza

Field coordinator - Kataza

Edissa Ineza is dedicated to empowering individuals and couples through training and by facilitating transformative modules that drive change in the fight against Gender-Based Violence (GBV). She has over eight years of hands-on experience in community development, gender-based advocacy, women’s empowerment, and social protection.

She currently serves as a Field Coordinator for the KATAZA Project at RWAMREC, where she leads the coordination and implementation of community-based gender-transformative initiatives in the Southern Province.

Prior to this role, Edissa worked with FATE Consulting Ltd as a GESI Specialist, supporting national research, evaluations, and advocacy on topics such as unpaid care work, women’s economic empowerment, and social protection. She also held key roles at CLADHO, where she contributed to projects that engaged youth and empowered girls.

Edissa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Travel and Tourism Management and a Diploma in Leisure and Tourism Management from the University of Tourism, Technology and Business Studies (UTB). Her professional journey is supported by a wide range of certifications in Gender-Transformative Approaches, Community Activism, Advocacy, and GESI, earned through collaborations with organizations such as UN Women, RWAMREC, and Save the Children.

She is fluent in English, Kinyarwanda, and Swahili, and has working knowledge of French. Passionate about inclusive development, Edissa brings strong facilitation, mentoring, and community mobilization skills to every project she supports.
