Drocelle Mukashema
Field Officer - FHF
As of September 2025, Mukashema is a Field Officer for the Fred Hollows Foundation Project, engaging men in eye health-seeking behaviors and promoting positive masculinity. She previously served as a Field Coordinator for the BAHO Project at RWAMREC until 2024. Mukashema holds a Bachelor's Degree in Education and has 17 years of experience as a teacher, plus one year as Director of Studies in Karongi District. She has extensive experience working with women, youth, and the wider community, beginning in 2005 in Karongi District and continuing from 2016 to 2019. She currently serves as Vice Mayor in charge of Social Affairs in Karongi District. Mukashema adopts a gender-transformative approach, actively involving men, women, and youth in her initiatives.
