About the Role

RWAMREC seeks a dynamic, creative, and highly motivated Communication Officer to strengthen the organization’s visibility, advocacy, stakeholder engagement, knowledge management, and digital presence.

The Communication Officer will develop and implement communication strategies that effectively showcase RWAMREC’s programmes, campaigns, partnerships, research, advocacy initiatives, and organizational impact at national, regional, and international levels.

The position will support the production of high-quality multimedia content, including written stories, photography, graphic design, videos, podcasts, social media content, reports, newsletters, and campaign materials.

The Communication Officer will also contribute to knowledge management by ensuring communication products, digital assets, and organizational information are documented, archived, analyzed, and disseminated.

The position requires strong skills in digital communication tools, social media management platforms, Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, analytics platforms, and knowledge management systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Media Studies, or related fields.

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in communications, journalism, digital storytelling, web management, or related fields.

  • Experience in social media management, digital analytics, content development, website management, and newsletters.

  • Graphic design and multimedia skills (Canva or Adobe Creative Suite) are an advantage.

  • Fluency in Kinyarwanda and English required; French is an advantage.

About the NGO

The Rwanda Men’s Resource Centre (RWAMREC) is a Rwandan non-governmental organization working to promote gender equality, positive masculinities, and the prevention of gender-based violence. Through research, community engagement, and training, RWAMREC works with men, women, youth, and institutions to transform harmful gender norms and build healthier relationships and communities.
