Flora Ufitinema

Technical Advisor

Flora Ufitinema is a dedicated development practitioner with over a decade of experience advancing gender equality and social impact in Rwanda. She currently serves as a Technical Advisor for Rwanda Men’s Resource Centre (RWAMREC) and the Rwanda Biomedical Center, where she coordinates the scale-up of the Bandebereho Program nationwide. She drives coordination, advocacy, and policy engagement to integrate Bandereho as a gender-transformative approach into Rwanda’s community health program. She also spearheads high-level advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and policy to strengthen gender transformative approaches across Rwanda. Alongside this role, Flora is the Project Coordinator for the Generation Gender Rwanda coalition, where she provides strategic leadership, fosters partnerships with government and civil society, and drives advocacy for gender justice and violence-free communities. Previously, she worked as RWAMREC’s Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, supporting evidence-based programming, research, and advocacy on gender, masculinity, and violence prevention. Her career spans diverse organizations, including Sustainable Health Enterprises (SHE) Rwanda, where she strengthened project management systems, designed monitoring and evaluation frameworks, and led impact assessments. She began her career with Gardens for Health International, contributing to agriculture training programs for families affected by malnutrition. Flora holds a Master’s in Gender and Development Studies from the University of Rwanda and a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness. Fluent in English, French, and Kinyarwanda, she brings expertise in research, program management, monitoring and evaluation, and multi-stakeholder coordination. Passionate about social justice, gender equality, and evidence-driven policy influence, Flora continues to contribute to building healthier, more inclusive communities in Rwanda.
