Esther KUSAASIRA

Esther Kusaasira is an Accountant at RWAMREC, a position she has held since 2026. She is responsible for supporting the organization's financial management through budget monitoring, financial reporting, maintaining accurate accounting records, and ensuring compliance with organisational and donor financial procedures. She contributes to the effective financial management of programmes that advance gender equality, positive masculinities, and the prevention of gender-based violence.

Before joining RWAMREC, Esther served as a Project Accountant in the Finance and Operations Department at the Young Women's Christian Association (YWCA) of Rwanda, where she managed financial reporting, budget tracking, donor compliance, cash management, and audit support across multiple projects. She also gained practical experience through internships and finance roles in Rwanda and Uganda, building expertise in accounting systems, internal controls, and financial administration. Esther holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (Accounting) from the Adventist University of Central Africa (AUCA) and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration in Finance. She is proficient in Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, SUNPLUS accounting software, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Passionate about integrity, accountability, and continuous learning, she is committed to strengthening financial systems that support sustainable development and social impact.
