Violette Mfitumukiza

Violette Mfitumukiza holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Kigali Independent University (ULK). She is a dedicated social worker and gender activist, focusing on family consolidation and sexual and reproductive health. Her expertise extends to both conflict resolution and gender promotion, with over a decade of experience in combating violence against women and girls (VAWG), promoting gender equality, and engaging men in gender-focused initiatives. Her focus areas include training, fighting gender-based violence, social mobilization, conflict resolution, research, community health and HIV, cooperative management, customer care, and program support (planning, monitoring, and evaluation). She has extensive experience working with government institutions, non-governmental organizations (local and international NGOs), and community-based organizations. As a gender practitioner and activist, Violette is well-versed in gender imbalances within families, their root causes, and their consequences for couples and their children. She is particularly interested in social development, community engagement, and improving the quality of life for the underprivileged.
