Serge Uwase

Serge holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Development Studies from the Protestant Institute of Art and Social Science (PASS). Serge was trained: Trainer of trainers (ToT) in Gender and development by CARITAS RWANDA, Adult literacy by VSL methodology; Gender equity and diversity, leadership and management of farmer groups by CARE international; Engaging men as equitable partners in a household (CWD-RWAMREC); Couple’s curriculum (JOT) by RWAMREC. He is skilled in managing groups, with an experience of 12 years working in the field, coordinating and supervising activities. Serge also worked with development projects and different NGOs aiming at reducing poverty like CARITAS, ARTCF, GTZ, ARDI, and RSSP. He worked for RWAMREC from December 2015 to April 2016 as a Community trainer under the INDASHYIKIRWA project in the Musanze district of the northern province, he then became a Field Officer in GEWEP II where he has been in charge of Huye and Gisagara Districts of the southern province. His hobbies are playing Basketball, orchestra, and comedy.
