Donnah Kamashazi
Development and partnership
Donnah serves as the partnership adviser at RWAMREC. She specialized in Human Rights Law from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, and holds a Masters of Gender Culture and Development from the National University of Rwanda. With over 19 years of experience, she has worked extensively with the United Nations, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), and the Private Sector, focusing on gender equality, law, research, training, and advocacy. Donnah is a passionate advocate for women's human rights, playing pivotal roles in the establishment of major programs such as the Isange One Stop Center (IOSC) and the Gender Responsive Budgeting Programme (GRB) in Rwanda, both aimed at addressing the consequences of inequalities that predominantly affect women. Additionally, Donnah serves as the President of the National Women Councils in Gasabo District within the City of Kigali. She is also a member of the Africa Center for Transformational Leadership in Africa (ACTIL), where she contributes as a researcher and trainer. Previously, she served as a member of the Global Board for the Food for the Hungry Organization and as the Vice President of the Society of Family Health (SFH) Board.
