About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Communication and Social Media Intern to join our team. The intern will play a crucial role in amplifying our message, engaging our community, and increasing our online presence. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about gender equality, social justice, and digital communication to gain hands-on experience in the non-profit sector.
Requirements
Education:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communication, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
Skills:
Strong writing and editing skills.
Proficiency in social media platforms and tools.
Basic graphic design skills (experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar).
Familiarity with social media analytics and reporting.
Proficient either in English, French or Kinyarwanda.
Attributes:
Passionate about gender equality and social justice.
Creative thinker with attention to detail.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience:
Previous experience in social media management or digital marketing is a plus.
Responsabilities
Content Creation: Develop and curate engaging content for our social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
Social Media Management: Schedule and publish posts, monitor interactions, and respond to comments and messages.
Campaign Development: Assist in planning and executing social media campaigns to raise awareness about our programs and initiatives.
Graphic Design: Create visually appealing graphics, infographics, and videos to support our digital content.
Analytics: Track and analyze social media performance using tools like Google Analytics and social media insights; provide regular reports and recommendations for improvement.
Community Engagement: Foster and maintain an online community by engaging with followers, partners, and stakeholders.
Content Writing: Write blog posts, newsletters, press releases, and other communication materials as needed.
Research: Conduct research on trends, best practices, and new tools in digital communication and social media marketing. Event Promotion: Assist in promoting events, webinars, and workshops through social media and other communication channels.
